PARTICIPATION IN THE ROUND TABLE CYCLE "THE EU AND THE COMMON ASYLUM POLICY", UNIVERSITY OF ALICANTE

Prof. Elena Crespo Navarro, UMH Jean Monnet Chair ReinforcEU holder, participated on February 21 st, 2023, with the conference entitled “Temporary protection in the European Union for displaced persons from Ukraine”, in the cycle of round tables “European Union and the common asylum policy”, organized by the Jean Monnet Chair The European Union and the right to asylum of the University of Alicante. The round table was held in the trial hall of the Faculty of Law of the aforementioned University.

Prof. Adela Rodríguez Mañogil, team member of the Jean Monnet Chair UMH: ReinforcEU, participated, on February 9th, 2023, with the conference entitled “The European Union and human rights”, in the ALUE Seminar + Global views for a world in transformation, organized by the Institute for Research in Latin American Studies (IELAT) and the Master’s Degree Latin America and the European Union: A strategic cooperation.

PARTICIPATION IN A ROUND TABLE ORGANIZED BY THE JEAN MONNET CHAIR ON EU MIGRATION POLICY: EU VALUES AND GLOBAL CHALLENGES (EUMIPO Project) OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ALICANTE

Prof. Elena Crespo Navarro, UMH Jean Monnet Chair ReinforcEU  holder, participated on March 1st, 2023, with the conference entitled “Temporary protection: immediate response of the European Union to the war in Ukraine”, at the round table The application of the Temporary Protection Directive to those displaced by the serious humanitarian crisis of the conflict in Ukraine, organized by the Jean Monnet Chair : Migration Policy: EU Values and Global Challenges, of the University of Alicante. The round table was held in the trial hall of the Faculty of Law of the aforementioned University.

SEMINAR ON THE FINANCING OF THE EU, EUROPEAN COURT OF AUDITORS AND THE EUROPEAN CENTRAL BANK

Alessandra Nasoni, PhD. student, Collaborator of the Area of Public International Law and International Relations of the University Miguel Hernández of Elche and team member of the Jean Monnet Chair ReinforcEU, on March 13th and 14th, 2023, gave a seminar on the financing system and the protection of the financial interests of the EU, the European Court of Auditors and the European Central Bank, aimed at students of the Law Degree and the Double Degree in DADE of the UMH. The seminar was held in room 0.8 of the Altabix building of the Miguel Hernández University.

PARTICIPATION IN THE SEMINAR ON SPAIN AND INTERNATIONAL LAW, UNIVERSITY OF A CORUÑA

Prof. Elena Crespo Navarro, UMH Jean Monnet Chair ReinforcEU holder, participated on April 18th, 2023, with the conference entitled “State discretion in the exercise of diplomatic protection: The Couso Case”, in the Seminar Spain and the International Law, organized at the Faculty of Law of the University of A Coruña by Prof. Dr. Marta Sobrido Prieto and Prof. Dr. Jorge Antonio Quindimil López, Associate Professors of Public International Law at the University of A Coruña.

PARTICIPATION IN THE XXV JEAN MONNET CONFERENCE ON EU EXTERNAL ACTION (UNIVERSITY OF VALENCIA)

Prof. Elena Crespo Navarro, UMH Jean Monnet Chair ReinforcEU holder, participated, on April 21st, 2023, with the conference entitled “The temporary protection of Ukrainians in the European Union”, in the XXV Jean Monnet Conference on the external action of the European Union, organized at the Faculty of Law of the University of Valencia by Jean Monnet professors: Prof. Dr. Valentín Bou Franch and Prof. Dr. María Torres Pérez, in the framework of the Jean Monnet Chair Strengthening European Values ​​(SEV).

PARTICIPACIÓN EN CONGRESO IMPLEMENTING SUSTAINABILITY: ENFORCEMENT MECHANISMS FOR CLIMATE POLICIES (UNIVERSITÁ PER GLI STRANIERI DI PERUGIA)

Alessandra Nasoni, Doctoranda y Colaboradora honorífica del Área de Derecho Internacional Público y Relaciones Internacionales de la Universidad Miguel Hernández de Elche y miembro del equipo de la Cátedra Jean Monnet ReinforcEU, participó, el día 8 de mayo de 2023, con la ponencia titulada “Enforcing sustainability in the Sahel region” en el Congreso Implementing sustainability: enforcement mechanisms for climate policies.

El Congreso, organizado por las Universidades: Australian National University Centre for European Studies, University of New England y Universitá per gli Stranieri de Perugia en el marco del Jean Monnet Project Implementing Climate Policies, se centró en el tema del cambio climático, abordando desde las perspectivas del Derecho Internacional Público y del Derecho de la Unión Europea las obligaciones de los Estados y de las empresas, los mecanismos de ejecución de las políticas públicas en la materia previstos en distintos ordenamientos jurídicos y el tema del impacto del cambio climático en los derechos humanos, haciendo referencia también a los mecanismos judiciales y casi judiciales existentes en materia.

El Congreso se celebró en el Aula Magna de la Universitá per gli Stranieri de Perugia en horario de tarde.
