II ADVANCED INTERUNIVERSITY SEMINAR ON RESEARCH ON THE EUROPEAN UNION: THE EUROPEAN UNION AND ITS VALUES

The Advanced Interuniversity Seminar on the European Union is part of the Specialized Seminars of the Ph.D. Program in Social and Legal Sciences of the University Miguel Hernández.

Its main objective is to promote excellence in research in matters related to regional integration in general and to the European Union in particular, by promoting dialogue and scientific debate among renowned experts, university professors and researchers from different countries and European and Latin American universities.

With this type of scientific debates we seek to offer participants a space for interuniversity and interdisciplinary discussion and an extraordinary opportunity to rise their scientific concerns and reflecting together on these topics from different approaches and perspectives.

PARTICIPANTS: The Seminar is open to the participation of young researchers and PhD students from Spanish or international university, especially Italian and Latin American universities.

FORMAT AND PLACE OF CELEBRATION:

The Seminar will be developed in two 3-hour sessions that will take place in November 2023 and May 2024 in the afternoon (4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Spanish hour).

Each session will begin with a round table composed of two speakers (specialist researchers of national and international prestige), which will be followed by the oral presentation of communications and by a discussion.

The format of the sessions will be hybrid. The sessions will be held in person at the University Miguel Hernández: Arenals Building Degree Hall (first session) and Misteri d’Elx Trial Room, Torrevaillo Building (second session), both on the Elche Campus, and in a live streaming via Google Meet for those who cannot attend in person.

REGISTRATION: Registration is free of charge and will be held for each Seminar Session. It must be carried out no later than three days before the beginning of each session, by completing the corresponding form:

Certificate of attendance will be given to to the speakers of each session and to the attendees who request it when filling in the registration form.

INTERUNIVERSITARY SEMINAR ON THE EUROPEAN UNION: THE EUROPEAN UNION AND ITS VALUES

The Interuniversitary Seminar on the European Union, organized by the Jean Monnet Chair Strengthening the European Union by reinforcing its values (ReinforcEU), is part of the Specialized Seminars of the Ph.D. Program in Social and Legal Sciences of the Miguel Hernández University and funded by the European Union.

The main objective of the Seminar is to promote excellence in research in matters related to regional integration in general and to the European Union in particular, by promoting dialogue and scientific debate among experts and practitioners, University Professors, and researchers from different countries and European and Latin American Universities.

The Seminar seeks to offer participants a space for interuniversity and interdisciplinary discussion, and a extraordinary opportunity to raise their scientific concerns and to reflect together on these issues from different approaches and perspectives.

PARTICIPANTS

The Seminar is open to the participation of Ph.D. students from both Spanish and international universities, especially from Italy and Latin America.

The Seminar will be developed in two 3-hour sessions that will take place in March and May 2023 in the afternoon (4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Spanish hour). 

Each session will begin with a debate between two guest speakers, followed by the oral presentation of the papers by the Ph.D. students and a final discussion. 

The format of the sessions will be hybrid. The sessions will be held in person at the Miguel Hernández University: Misteri d’Elx Trial Room, Torrevaillo Building (Elche Campus) and in a live streaming via Google Meet for those who cannot attend in person.
