\"\"In October, the UMH’s Department of Public International Law and International Relations launched the teaching innovation project Public International Law through Film: A Movie-Worthy State?<\/i><\/b>, PIEU-B\/2025\/83, with funding from the UMH Vice Rectorate for Studies (PIEU-UMH 2025-2026 University Teaching Innovation Program).<\/p>\n

The project, coordinated<\/strong> by Prof. Adela Rodr\u00edguez Ma\u00f1ogil<\/em>, a member of the UMH Jean Monnet Chair<\/em> ReinforcEU<\/em>, aimed to promote the study of part of the Public International Law course program, using teaching tools such as film and gamification.<\/p>\n

The project\u2019s teaching staff also includes professors from the Department of Public International Law and International Relations Elena Crespo Navarro<\/em>, Roc\u00edo M. Pozo Tom\u00e1s <\/em>and Teresa Vidal Coves<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The activity was carried out with students enrolled in the Public International Law<\/i> course on October 8 and 22<\/b> with fourth-year<\/b> students in the Double Degree in Law and Business Administration and Management (DADE<\/b>) and on October 20 and 27<\/b> with the second-year<\/b> group in the Law<\/b> Degree.<\/p>\n

Between October and November 2025, we held the Interuniversity Seminar<\/b> : Debate on Artificial Intelligence at the UN Assembly<\/i>.<\/b><\/p>\n

The seminar was developed as the first part of the PRODIC Project, coordinated<\/b> by Prof. Dr. Elena Crespo Navarro<\/em><\/i>, Professor of Public International Law and International Relations at the UMH, and was funded by the Vice-Rectorate for International Relations and Cooperation within the framework of the PRODIC-UMH 2025-2026<\/b> Teaching Projects for Internationalization at Home Program.<\/p>\n

The objective <\/b>is to study Public international law<\/i> from a practical perspective, using an interactive and collaborative methodology through the use of gamification tools (Kahoot<\/i> and Escape room<\/i>) and simulation. Specifically, we simulated a regular session of the UN General Assembly in which \u201cArtificial Intelligence and Human Rights\u201d was debated, culminating in the students jointly and collaboratively drafting a final consensus resolution.<\/p>\n

Participating<\/strong> in the seminar were fourth-year students of the double degree in DADE, who worked alongside students from the Italian universities of Perugia and Cagliari<\/b>, under the supervision of professors of public international law and European Union law from those universities: Prof. Elena Crespo Navarro<\/em><\/i> (UMH),<\/i> Prof. Dr. Simone Vezzani<\/i>\/Prof. Dr. Maria Cristina Carta<\/i> (University of Perugia), and Prof. Dr. Francesca Ippolito<\/i> (University of Cagliari).<\/p>\n

The activity took place over three sessions<\/b> (October 20, November 3 and 5, 2025)<\/b>, moderated<\/b> by professors from the UMH’s Department of Public International Law and International Relations and members of the UMH Jean Monnet Chair ReinforcEU<\/i> team: Adela Rodr\u00edguez Ma\u00f1ogil (Assistant Professor); Roc\u00edo M. Pozo Tom\u00e1s (pre-doctoral fellow), and Alessandra Nasoni (honorary collaborator).<\/p>\n

In April and May 2026, we held the Inter-university Seminar: Debate on Artificial Intelligence and Human Rights at the European Parliament <\/em>(PRODIC 2025\u201326, Part Two)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This activity is part of the PRODIC project, coordinated by Prof. Elena Crespo Navarro<\/em>, Associate Professor of Public International Law and International Relations at the UMH, and is therefore funded by the Vice-Rectorate for International Relations and Cooperation under the PRODIC-UMH 2025-2026 Internationalisation at Home<\/strong> Teaching Projects Programme.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The objective<\/strong> of this second part is to examine selected topics from the European Union Law<\/em> programme from a practical perspective. To this end, we adopt an interactive and collaborative methodology, using flipped classroom techniques and gamification tools (Kahoot and Escape Room<\/em>), as well as simulation exercises. Specifically, we simulate a plenary session of the European Parliament in which the topic under debate is \u201cArtificial Intelligence and Human Rights\u201d.<\/p>\n

THE SEMINAR IS ATTENDED<\/strong> BY<\/strong> 4th-year students on the UMH\u2019s Double Degree in Law and Business Administration (DADE), who will work alongside students from the Italian universities of Perugia and Florence<\/strong>, under the academic supervision of their respective lecturers in Public International Law and European Union Law: Prof. Elena Crespo Navarro<\/em> (UMH), Prof. Simone Vezzani<\/em>, Prof. Dr. Maria Cristina Carta <\/em>y Prof. Cristiana Angelini<\/em> (University of Perugia) and Prof. Monica Parodi<\/em> (University of Florence).<\/p>\n

The activity will take place over three sessions (April, 27 and 28 and May, 5 2026)<\/strong>. The sessions are moderated by faculty members from the Area of Public International Law and International Relations at UMH, who are also members of the UMH Jean Monnet Chair ReinforcEU team: Adela Rodr\u00edguez Ma\u00f1ogil (Assistant Professor), Roc\u00edo M. Pozo Tom\u00e1s (Predoctoral Research Fellow), and Alessandra Nasoni (Substitute Professor).<\/p>\n
