Description: <\/strong>The activity consists of a series of lectures, followed by debates, designed to provide a general overview of the European Union, including its origins and historical evolution, institutions and bodies, legal framework, and particularly the importance of European values. Special emphasis is placed on the Union’s actions in protecting human rights, both internally and externally, with particular attention to its relations with neighboring countries.<\/p>\nMethodology: <\/strong>The lecture-and-debate format is complemented by practical workshops on the European Union and its values. Additionally, short videos on relevant topics will be shown during the sessions.
An activity involving joint participation of AUNEX students and younger undergraduate and postgraduate students is also planned to encourage intergenerational debate.<\/p>\nVenues and Schedule: <\/strong>45 hours per academic year. The course will take place during the 2024-25 academic year (February and March) at the Elche, El Campello, and Altea venues, thanks to the collaboration of the respective City Councils. Description<\/strong>:\u00a0The activity consists of a series of conferences, followed by debates, dedicated to providing an overview of the European Union, its origins and historical evolution, its institutions and bodies, its legal order, especially the importance of European values and in particular the EU\u2019s action in the field of human rights protection ad intra<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0ad extra<\/em>, with particular attention to the EU\u2019s relations with neighboring countries.<\/p>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/strong><\/p>\nMethodology: <\/strong>\u00a0The conference format, followed by debate, is complemented by the eminently practical workshops on the European Union and its values, European citizenship, the fight against misinformation… Additionally, short videos on relevant topics will be screened during the sessions.<\/p>\nIt is also planned to carry out some activity in which AUNEX students can participate jointly with younger undergraduate and postgraduate students, in order to promote intergenerational debate.<\/p>\n
Locations and schedules<\/strong>: 45 hours per academic year. The course is taught during the first (months of December-January, Ibi Headquarters) and second semester (months of February-March, other locations) in four groups, in four different locations in four cities in the province of Alicante (Ibi , Elche, Orihuela and Benidorm) thanks to the collaboration of the respective Cities Councils. 15 hours are taught in each course (three hours per week).<\/p>\n<\/b><\/p>\n

Special emphasis is placed on the Union’s actions in protecting human rights, both internally and externally, with particular attention to its relations with neighboring countries.<\/p>\n Methodology: <\/strong>The lecture-and-debate format is complemented by practical workshops on the European Union and its values. Additionally, short videos on relevant topics will be shown during the sessions. Venues and Schedule: <\/strong>45 hours per academic year.
